So...a few friends of mine and I have been trying to plan a lunch
together. Easy pickings, right? Wrong. We're so entrenched in our
individual lives that it's quite difficult to coordinate a day, not to
mention that we live in three totally different parts of town. All of
the e-mails flying around agitated me. The result is we're meeting on
Saturday, February 18th. Here's the message I just sent to the group:
For the record, this is the last time I do this like this with you
fellas. Men don't plan lunches this far in advance! I don't care
how old or how busy we are. This is how women operate -
coordinating calendars and negotiating. If we can't plan a lunch
within 5 business days, well then we'll just abandon the idea and
try again in a week. If we set a day, and one out of four can't
make it, then they'll catch up next time.
Got me?
I haven't received a response yet, but they'll agree. I'll keep you posted.
Know what I'm sayin'??
One of the guys called me like 10 minutes after I sent out the e-mail. The first thing he said was "Are you okay, man. You sound angry."
